Steve has been in commercial real estate since 1979, has managed a large commercial firm with over 75 agents, and assisted agents in closing transactions and developing marketing strategies. Steve is very loyal to his clients, and is proud of the long term relationships he has with them.
He has also worked with clients to market & procure properties. He worked with one client to accumulate over $55,000,000.00 in the purchase and sale of properties. Steve has worked with and is familiar with working with clients that are out of the country. He has a very close and good working relationship with a mortgage broker who understands commercial loans and clients who own a number of commercial buildings.
Steve is very aware of the 1031 exchange rules and regulations and he keeps abreast of what is happening with tax laws and how the affect local and overseas property owners.
As a past school administrator and approved instructor for Real Estate Continuing Education of Washington, Steve has written 17 Commercial Courses that are approved for Continuing Education. Steve has also been a speaker at Commercial Connections Washington State.
From 1985 to 1996 Steve was the Designated Broker of a Downtown Commercial Brokerage with 78 agents; from 2000 to 2008 he was the Commercial Sales Manager for Coldwell Banker Commercial Del Bianco Realty. During that time, Steve was the Top Commercial Agent with Coldwell Banker Commercial Del Bianco from 2000 - 2007 and in the top 2% in earnings for all of Coldwell Banker nationwide in 2002. In 2008 Steve opened a new office, Cornerstone Commercial Investment Properties, with Rita Cook and Loren Cook with Steve as the Designated Broker.
Steve owns and operates Multi-Family and Retail properties; owned and operated our own construction company, built over 100 single family homes, built 2 apartment buildings and one condo project; owned and operated own Commercial Real Estate Company, and has owned and operated coin laundries.
Steve was born in Tacoma, Washingt0n and has lived in Washington his whole life, in the greater Seattle/Tacoma area. Steve and Rita married in 1968 and have 2 boys, ages 36 and 38. He is a past Director of the Seattle Harley Owner’s Group and on the fund raising committee in Ocean Shores for the Sun & Surf Event held every year in July.
Steve is active in many national, state and local organizations and charity events.
